Photograph talk with Jan Banning

Dutch photographer Jan Banning has gained great international recognition for his photo series. He is known for always having a social focus in his work, but also an unmistakable oblique glance on the surroundings. During his work on the exhibition Red Utopia, Banning has met people and societies that support communism. The photographer himself has never voted for a communist party, but he still has sympathy for the supporters’ desire for radical change and a more idealistic world.

In a photograph talk with our own head of education Camilla Erenius in the exhibition itself, Banning tells about the project Red Utopia.

The event is free and open to everyone.
